Wekiva Lake Restoration
About this Event
Help plant shoreline vegetation to improve ecosystem function, wildlife habitat, and water quality at Wekiva Lake*! This is a partnered event with lake residents, local Girl Scouts, and the SERV Program, sponsored by Troop 488. Please note that we'll be working in the water - part of the fun is getting muddy & wet!
DATE/TIME: 9/12/26, 9 am - noon
KICK-OFF: Clubhouse at 250 Wekiva Cove Road, Longwood, FL 32779
COST: Free
ATTIRE: Closed toe shoes are required (e.g. boots, water shoes, old sneakers that can get wet). Old clothes, work gloves, and sun protection are recommended.
ADDITIONAL: Volunteers should bring their own water to drink.
LIABILITY FORM: Each volunteer must complete and submit a County liability form to participate.
