About this Event

Olympic lifting and its primary accessories deliver massive benefits for athletes—building explosive power, raw strength, speed, and drastically improving overall workout efficiency.

To help you refine your technique, CrossFit Dwala is hosting an exclusive weightlifting clinic on August 9, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

This clinic is open to athletes of all experience levels who want to improve their Snatch and Clean & Jerk. Participants will receive expert, focused, and individualized feedback from our coaching team:

  • Hampton Morris: Olympic & World Championships Bronze Medalist. Widely recognized as one of the top male lifters in the United States, Hampton holds multiple World, Pan American, and American Records, and is a USAW Level 1 certified coach.
  • Tripp Morris: A USA Weightlifting Senior International Coach. As Hampton’s father and coach, Tripp has developed multiple lifters to American Records and coached numerous athletes onto Team USA.
  • Anne Marie Morris: A beloved, high-level coach at CrossFit Dwala (and Hampton’s mom) who holds CF Level 2, USAW Level 2, and CF Kids certifications.

⚠️ Attendance Cap: To ensure high-quality, individualized coaching, this event will be capped at 20 athletes. Make plans to sign up early!

What to Bring & Athlete Notes

Footwear: Weightlifting shoes are highly recommended. Otherwise, a flat-soled training shoe is best.

Gear: Bring your weightlifting belt if you regularly use one.

Hydration: Bring Water.

Nutrition: Weightlifters eat and drink while training! We suggest bringing a snack (e.g., a protein shake, easy to eat fruit, or drinkable carbohydrates).

• • Facility Note: CrossFit Dwala is not an air-conditioned facility, but it features plenty of open bay doors and high-powered fans to optimize airflow and keep the space comfortable.
