Sarah Mulvaney will guide a live elderberry syrup demonstration while sharing the history, traditional uses, preparation methods, and flavor possibilities of elderberry and the herbs and spices often paired with it.
Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy a sparkling elderberry drink, elderberry shortbread cookies, and a tasting of elderberry syrup while learning the process from start to finish.
After the demonstration, you’ll create your own beautifully packaged elderberry syrup kit to take home.
A generous ingredient table will be available with a curated selection of herbs and spices so you can customize your blend based on the flavors, aromas, and ingredients you feel most drawn to. Your kit will include everything needed to prepare one full batch of elderberry syrup at home, including dried elderberries, 8 oz of local raw honey, your chosen botanical additions, a recipe card, and educational handout.
