Join us for our weekly meeting at the VFW Post 4256 in Madeira Beach. Guests are always welcome to join us and we would love for you to join our club. Guests pay $20 for lunch.
This week's guest speaker is Reta Newman.
Reta Newman is the Director of the Pinellas County Forensic Laboratory at the District Six Medical Examiner’s Office. She has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry degree from Missouri State University and Master’s degree in Management. She has been a practicing forensic chemist specializing in seized drug and fire debris analyses since 1988. She has been the Laboratory Director since 1998.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Science is certified by the American Board of Criminalistics in both Fire Debris Analysis and Drug Analysis. She is a member of the Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis Committee of Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science (OSAC). She is the co-author of two textbooks on forensic fire debris analysis and a contributing author to three other forensic science reference books.
