Meditation Night every Thursday evening, 7.15pm to 9.30pm
Meditation Night is our weekly evening dedicated to meditation.
Come and practice with a community of meditators, whether you're brand new to meditation or looking to deepen an existing practice.
We teach two main meditation practices, the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana (or cultivation of lovingkindness). These two complementary practices help us to develop awareness, integration, tranquillity and positive emotion.
The class is open to all levels of experience. For those new to meditation, each week we offer a full, step-by-step introduction to the practices, and we will guide you through one of these. For those familiar with the meditation practices, and able to guide themselves in meditation, we now offer the opportunity to have longer sits, and also to get some input into how you can work more effectively in meditation.
No need to book, just turn up.
All our meditation and Buddhism classes are freely given, with the financing of the Centre based on “dana” (generosity). We do not want to charge people to be part of our community.
We do however rely on the generosity of visitors and supporters to keep the Centre and its activities alive and available.
If you would like to support us by making a regular or one-off donation you can do so via the donate section of our website
