Anfisa is a multidisciplinary artist and informal educator based in San Antonio, Texas. Their creative mission is to inspire others and empower them to pursue autonomy and hope through cultivating their own creativity. Working with a variety of mediums such as printmaking, sewing, ceramics, and stained glass, Anfisa continually seeks new skills to explore the multifaceted nature of being human. Sustainability and resourcefulness are central to their practice, and they are always finding innovative ways to bring art to the people—encouraging others to see the world not just as it is, but as it could be. When not teaching or creating, Anfisa can be found outdoors, volunteering with local organizations tosupport at-risk community members, or dreaming up new ways to reinvent the ordinary.
