Loren Larson was born in Glascow, Montana on May 27th, 1959. His parents moved to Missoula, Montana when he was two years old. He lived there until 1980.
In 1986, while living in Nashville, Tennessee, Loren was born again. For the first 18 months after his conversion, he became an active member of an Assembly of God church in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. In 1987, feeling the call of God on his life, he chose to further his knowledge of God’s word and began attending Jimmy Swaggart Bible College (JSBC). He moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana in August 1987. In 1988 he joined the staff of Family Worship Center, the home church of Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. Since then, he has operated in the role of Pr*son Ministry Pastor, Worship Leader, and Choir Director. In 1992 he began teaching as a professor of JSBC. He has served for 22 years as president of the college. He is currently a professor and the Dean of Theology. Loren holds an earned Master’s Degree in Theological Studies.
He started traveling to various churches in 2001, preaching and teaching the gospel. He is also a regular panel member of “The Message of the Cross” and “A Study in the Word”, programs that air daily over the SBN - Son Broadcasting Network.
He resides in Baton Rouge and is married to Hannah Thomas Larson. They have raised four children, all who are active in ministry. They are Joy Holley, Grace Brumley, Joseph Larson, and Rachel Ford.
