Presentation following Holy Liturgy
Dr. Constantinou holds several degrees, Including Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Master of Arts degrees in Practical Theology from the University of San Diego, as well as a Juris Doctorate from Pepperdine University School of Law. She passed the California Bar exam and worked as an attorney before pursuing a Master of Theology degree from Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, where she specialized in patristics. This was followed by a Master of Theology from Harvard Divinity School where she focused on the New Testament.
She earned her Ph.D. from Université Laval, Quebec City, where she specialized in the Apocalypse in the Ancient Church of the East. She produced the first translation into any modern language of the oldest Greek patristic commentary on the Book of Revelation by Andrew, Archbishop of Caesarea, Cappadocia. The translation of The Apocalypse Commentary of Andrew of Caesarea was published by The Catholic University of America Press as volume 123 in their well-known series The Fathers of the Church. She also published through CUA Press, Guiding to a Blessed End: Andrew of Caesarea and his Apocalypse Commentary in the Ancient Church, which explained the canonical history of the Apocalypse in the Orthodox Church, the interpretation by Andrew of Caesarea and the impact of his commentary on Apocalypse interpretation in Eastern Christianity.
Dr. Constantinou, popularly known as “Dr. Jeannie” is very well-known among Orthodox Christians. For sixteen years she has hosted a podcast on the Bible from the perspective of the early Church, (Search the Scriptures followed by the current podcast Search the Scriptures LIVE!), on Ancient Faith Radio.
