Week 8 - Collinwood - Euclid Beach Park

In week 8, we’ll start at Euclid Beach Park as we continue our journey through Cleveland’s neighborhoods and history. Come early and check out our two community partners: The League of Women Voters (nonpartisan voter advocacy group) and Meadow City (local native plant nursery promoting biodiversity). Ohio City Bicycle Co-op will be on site as well.
While you ride with Slow Roll through North Collinwood, keep an eye out for reminders of the legendary Euclid Beach Park. Opened in 1895, Euclid Beach operated for 74 seasons and became one of the most beloved amusement parks in the country before closing in 1969. While the rides are gone, traces of the park's history can still be found throughout the neighborhood, offering a glimpse into a place that helped shape Cleveland's east side for generations.
Just a reminder: there will be no ride next Monday, July 6. We’ll be taking a short break before returning the following week.
