🌿 FALL PLANT SWAP + PLANT POWER! 🌿
Saturday, October 10 at The Hyde Park Farmers Market
Plants are taking over the market! 🪴🌻 Join us for a special Saturday celebrating growing, sharing, preserving and all the incredible things plants can do.
🌱 HYDE PARK PLANT SWAPPERS FALL PLANT SWAP | 10AM–12PM
Bring a plant, take a plant! Bring your healthy, disease-free, labeled indoor or outdoor plants to share, or bring garden tools, décor, books and accessories to swap. Everyone is welcome!
The Hyde Park Plant Swappers will also have native plant information and handouts, share Echinacea and Rudbeckia seed heads, and demonstrate how to set up winter-sowing containers with milkweed so you can start planning for next year’s pollinator garden.
🌿 POP CLUB: PLANT POWER! | During the Market
Our kids are getting hands-on with the theme EAT IT • DRINK IT • PRESERVE IT!
🥒 Make Your Own Refrigerator Pickles — pack a jar with fresh cucumbers, dill and garlic while learning how we can preserve seasonal harvests.
🌿 Farm Pharmacy — discover how plants and local foods nourish our bodies and how farms use plants to support people, animals and the land.
🍵 What’s the Farm Tea? — smell, touch and identify herbs, learn about their traditional uses, and make an herbal tea bag to take home!
POP Club is FREE for kids ages 3–12, and participating kids receive $2 in POP Bucks to spend on fresh produce at the market.
And of course, The Hyde Park Farmers Market is open 9AM–2PM, so shop our local farmers, food producers, bakers, artists and makers while you’re here. 🥕🍎🍯
