FUSO PROJECT: Focus On The Euro Way Of Enjoying Wine Daily with low-intervention, intentionally naturally produced wines!

Off The Vine is fortunate to have regular travelers in our community traipzing the world and always returning with great wine stories & experiences. Often they will return with questions on differences in wine making process of many of our US producers and what they learned & tasted in Europe's villages & small town bistros.

Roxanne Hoffman is here to tell us all about PortoVino Import Company's FUSO Project, a collaborative program inspired by the countryside tradition of visiting a local wine-grower once a year to fill up large format bottles to have in house or cafe for everyday drinking, without concerns of distributors, reps, or marketing stories... just fresh, natural, approachable wines known in Italy as "Vino Quotidiano"!

• Organically Farmed local native grape varietals
• Native Yeasts from the skins rather than commercial strains
• Rare if any use of additives. eg. sulphites, enzymes, acid, oak chips
• Limited filtering
• Alcohol levels kept fresh & low 11-13.5%

All of which combined create exceptional value, highly food friendly and expressions of authentic terroir & specific regional style.
