Cleveland Pinball League presents...WEDNESDAY WIZARD SUMMER 2X SERIES
The first one was such a success we're back for another! It's sort of like league, but simplified... and FREE ENTRY!
Wednesday nights we'll meet at Superelectric at 8pm just like CPL…
Each night we'll play 5 rounds of match play. Each game will be randomly selected against a different group of opponents. Scoring is just like league 5/3/2/1. Those points will carry from week to week, with your best 4 weeks counting toward your total. So you can miss 2 out of the 6 weeks with no penalty.
Everything will be done on the MatchPlay website... from matchups to results entry to tracking standings from week to week. That's the biggest difference from our usual CPL format. It will be very simple and easy to follow!
After 6 weeks the top 8 players will qualify for finals on the following Wednesday. If any players in the top 8 are unable to attend finals we will go down the standings until we can fill all 8 spots. Finals will be 2 rounds of the same format we use for CPL playoffs - PAPA style 3 game match (new/mid/old, top 2 advance).

What's up with the 2X?? This format is scientifically designed to be worth 200% TGP for the series, so if we have good turnouts, the WPPR value can be pretty big! The last one was worth over 40 points!

DOLLAR BALL MANIA!
Each WW2X meet there will be one machine selected for a high score side tournament. We'll have that game set to ONE BALL PLAY and each attempt will cost $1, unlimited attempts. Scores will be recorded throughout the night and the top 4 players will duke it out on a 3 ball final match on that machine to end the night. Winner gets all the dollars!
Side tournament qualifying will open at 7pm. That’s an hour before group play starts, so you can start putting in attempts during warmup time and between games throughout the night.
DBM! will be its own mini IFPA event each week. The points will be tiny but they'll be official!
