Welcome to Cats' Corners swingin’ Wednesday Night Hop in the grand ballroom at Moriska Paviljongen.EXTRAs:
Lindy hop taster for beginners 19:00 - 20:00 in "Stora Salen"
Shag taster for beginners 19:00 - 20:00 in "Spegelsalen".
The classes are included in the regular entrance fee and you are very welcome regardless of age, membership, dance ability, with or without a partner and if you are a student or not

### LINDY HOP
The main dance on Wednesdays’ is Lindy Hop, a swing dance originating in the 30-40s in Harlem, NY, and there will be a taster class for beginners 19:00-20:00. But after 20:00 , you are always welcome to dance whatever you like or just hang out

### SHAG DANCING?
There will be a drop-in shag class (for beginners) followed by social dancing in Spegelsalen .
The Collegiate Shag (or "Shag") is a partner dance done primarily to uptempo swing and pre-swing jazz music (185-250+ beats per minute). It belongs to the swing family of American vernacular dances that arose in the 1920s and 30s. It is believed that the dance originated within the African American community[1] of the Carolinas in the 1920s,[2][3] later spreading across the United States during the 1930s. Cats' Corner is a non-profit dance organisation from Malmö. Our main focus is Lindy Hop, but we gladly also dance Charleston, Balboa, Shag, Blues, Authentic Jazz and other Swing dances.
