We invite you to, For the Love of Comedy presents Writers’ Block! LA’s new variety comedy show, featuring some of the hottest up and coming comedians around town, and some of your favorite LA headliners, including Jason Collings.

Enjoy a live musical intermission with select rising musicians. Finally, we close out the show with Writers’ Block! where we invite YOU to shout topics at our comics. They will create new material on the spot, directed by you!

ANNA MAE GORDON

Anna Mae Gordon is a bi-coastal comic and actor. Gordon starred in and co-created the pilot episode of her sketch comedy web series, Hot Snacks, which was selected by 9 film festivals worldwide, including Seriesfest, T.O. Webfest, and the LA Comedy Film Festival. The pilot won 7 awards (including Best Series Pilot) by NYIFA), and was nominated for 11. Gordon can currently be seen performing stand-up throughout LA, on the stages of The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Ice House, The Roosevelt Hotel, Flappers, and The Comedy Chateau.

ASH CASANOVA

Ash is a comedian from Arizona with a background in acting and improv. Doing stand up for over 8 years now she has been blessed to perform at the Improv, The Ice House, and has graced every stage at The Comedy Store. The birth of her ongoing show Writers’ Block for several years has pulled all the best of her past. This brings a diverse high quality show that allows you to interact with top tier comedians, witness them stretching their crowd work muscles as we all experience some Writers’ Block!

PEJ AHMADI

Sacramento comic who’s brought his talents to lovely Los Angeles, Pej excels in off kilter and self sabotage comedy as well as focus on human rights issues. He produces and hosts his weekly, Sunset Sunday Comedy as well as other specialized monthly shows in West Hollywood! Pej only performs and writes material when fueled in love.

Stand up comedian / Actor  originally from Long Beach, CA. Jason can be seen regularly at The Comedy Store, The Improv, The Laugh Factory and clubs across the country and internationally. You may have seen Jason on one of his many television appearances including VH1, BET Comic View, Live at Gotham, The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno. And most recently on his 1 hour special streaming now on Amazon Prime. Jason recently shot a new half hour special for LMFAO Comedy Club, a new streaming platform from international headliner Russell Peters.
