Wednesday Grand Prix Chess Tournament

This is a month long rated event; one game played every Wednesday evening starting at 7:00PM (ON-SITE REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY AT 6:30 PM) 1st round pairings will be made with all players on the roster as of the Tuesday evening prior to the day of the 1st round. Late registrants will be paired with other late registrants for their first round.

Round times:
• 5 Rounds
• Rounds start at 7:00pm each Wednesday
• 1 Round every Wednesday

Time controls:
• All Rounds G/90;d5

Sections:
If there is more than 30 players in a 4 round month, there will be 2 sections. In months with 5 rounds, all players will be placed in one section.

Prizes:
Cash Prizes for 1st and 2nd open winners. Amount determined after the field is set for the month.
Player with largest margin of victory will win $20 (cannot be unrated or provisional)

Grand Prix:
Grand Prix points only designed for this tournament will be earned each month starting in August 2023 through July 2024 with prizes for the top 3 players as well as the top 2 players with the most USCF rating increase during the grand prix period. If a player is provisionally rated, rating increase is counted from when that player leaves provisional status.
