Wednesday Birders at Veteran's Memorial Park

Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon and the Wednesday Birders on a guided field trip through this lovely riparian area along the Boise River Greenbelt. We can expect to see a variety of species due to the contrast between snaggy forested habitat and open ponds.

Accessibility: This trip is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility that are comfortable walking of trail. If you require wheelchair accessibility, please contact the trip leader in advance so the planned route can be modified.

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Check-in is at 9:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

: We will meet at the Veteran's Memorial Park parking lot that is closest to the Boise River. (Click on "Meeting Place" to see a precise pin to the meeting place, and for directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, closed-toe shoes, binoculars, a scope if you have one, water, and snacks as needed. A scope will be available for the group to share. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Restrooms will be available.

Special Conditions: Paths may be slippery and/or icy depending on recent weather. Please consider bringing YakTrax if you have them.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI or steady precipitation forecast, the trip will be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact the field trip leader listed above. Participants who miss two trips without advance notice may be suspended from registering for three months. Thanks for your understanding!
