Wednesday Birders at Hull's Gulch

Space is limited. To affirm a place at this event, registration is required. Please make sure ALL fields are filled out in the registration form and a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon Society and the Wednesday Birders as we explore Hulls Gulch Reserve, which lies in 292 acres of protected land north of downtown Boise at the base of the foothills, and is part of the Idaho Birding Trail. We will be walking slowly along a one mile loop, enjoying the sights and sounds of a spring morning along Goldfinch and Red-winged Blackbird trails, and Hull's pond. Some of the birds we hope to see include raptors, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, wrens, finches, and sparrows.Recently reported species can be viewed here: https://ebird.org/hotspot/L248232

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 8:00-10:00am. Check-in is at 7:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

: We will meet at the Grove Trailhead parking lot in Hull's Gulch. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, comfortable shoes, binoculars, water, and snacks as needed. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Restrooms are available at the upper parking lot near Foothills Learning Center.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI or steady rain forecast, the trip will be cancelled.
