Weaving Workshop (Beginners)

Weaving Workshop: This is a great little beginners weaving workshop. You'll learn how to 'warp' your loom (put the string on it), how to get started by tying special knots (it's easy, I promise) AND of course, how to weave! You'll also be shown the correct way to take your weave off of the loom so that you can take it home and look at it lovingly forever. Weaving is a very therapeutic craft that many fall in love with it so be prepared to get hooked!

Your Workshop Teacher: Your teacher is Amy Brown; founder of Cult Milk and former illustrator. Her style of teaching focusses on the enjoyment of the process and the therapeutic rewards of getting creative rather than purely on the outcome. She hopes everyone will feel relaxed enough to have a good time and unwind whilst learning something new. Her favourite part is when people leave the workshop realising that they're actually much better at making things than they thought they would be and in the process have made a few new friends!

The Venue, Social Distancing & Facilities: The Selina Hotel will be following government guidelines closely. We will be hosting the workshop in the amazing co-working events space named The Amy Room after the gloriously talented artist Amy Isles Freeman, whose work themes around female sexuality, freedom and joy. There is a lovely bar and restaurant available to order from throughout the night so you can get cosy and creative with a drink to hand.

Refund Policy: There is a no refund policy but if you're feeling unwell, life is getting in the way or your dog was sick on your cat, it's ok, we can transfer your ticket over to another event to help ease the load. Try to let Amy know as soon as you can so to free up any new spaces for other people.
