Weaving Passementerie: Beginner Weaving Technique with David Fox
About this Event
Passementerie is all the rage at the moment! It’s a woven technique on the loom in which you create trimmings, bands, or fringes, and has been used thought-out history for fashion and interiors.
With David Fox you’ll learn various techniques to create your very own passementerie on our historic Dobby Floor Looms.
During the day session you’ll be introduced to this technique, do some sampling and go home with your very own length of passementerie. This can be used to attach to your interiors or one of your garments or you can frame it or use it within art projects.
Ideal for a beginner weaver to learn a new technique, or a compleate novice to go home with samples, the session will include a break for lunch where you can explore the site and generate new ideas.
