Weaving Our Histories - Beginner Friendly Weaving Workshop

Come join us for a creative day of weaving at our beginner-friendly workshop!

This workshop is in collaboration with Manchester School of Art, which is celebrating it's 200th Anniversary this year!

We will be creating hand-woven samples which will be used in a large-scale collaborative piece which will be exhibited at the ‘Special Collections Museum’ at Manchester Metropolitan University as a celebration of it’s 200th Anniversary.

If you are currently living in- or have grown up in the Greater Manchester area, we would love to have you!

All you need is yourself and an image you have taken in Manchester which you wouldn't mind being a part of the exhibition. (This is optional and could be of yourself, family, friends or just somewhere you love in Manchester.)

Cups of tea, drinks and biscuits will be provided & all participants will get free entry to explore Elizabeth Gaskell's House, as well as the cafe and bookshop.
