✨ Weaving Light: A Winter Solstice Retreat ✨A day-long immersion into ritual, craft, prayer, and the quiet magic of the season.
As the longest night of the year approaches, we gather in community to remember what it means to tend our inner flame, to honor the passage of time, and to create new traditions around the holidays that are deeply imbibed with meaning and intention.
Weaving Light is a full-day solstice retreat devoted to slowing down, listening deeply, creating with our hands, and honoring the turning of the wheel.
From the moment we arrive, this day becomes a ceremony.
An invitation to step out of ordinary time and rushing, and into the mystery, beauty, and belonging that lives within each of us and within a circle of connected beings.
We will gather in person, on the West edge of Reno Nevada at the beautiful River School Farm for this full day retreat.
What the Journey Holds:
10:00 AM — Opening Circle
11:00 AM — Guided Movement, Sound Journey & Reflective Journaling
A somatic and soulful practice to soften the body, quiet the mind, and awaken intuition. We move, breathe, listen, and will be guided into a deeply reflective and intimate ceremony with ourselves.
12:30 PM — Lunch Break-Bring Your Own Lunch to Pause& Nourish.
1:00 PM — Basket Weaving as Ceremony
Ancestral craft becomes prayer.
As we weave, we connect with story, lineage, intention, and the unseen. Each basket becomes a vessel for dreams, for letting go, for calling in. A ritual of creation with our hands and hearts.We will be weaving a warp and weft style basket from reeds.
4:00 PM — Silent Sunset River Walk
A quiet pilgrimage to the river. We walk in silence, feeling the land beneath our feet, watching the sky turn gold. A moment of reverence for the season, the earth, and the waters that hold us and welcoming in this longest night.
4:45 PM — Fire Ceremony
We gather around the fire for songs, sharings, dreams, and prayers. A space to speak what is true, release what is ready to burn away, and call back our light as night falls.
6:00 PM — Nourishing Dinner & Closing Gratitudes
We end the day in community—serving lovingly cooked food, warmth, and final blessings. A gentle closing to send you home rooted, inspired, and full to the brim.

We will provide:
• 8 hours of immersive, balanced, nourishing ritual, practices, and space to honor the day, connect with yourself, learn new skills, and deeply connect in community
• Herbal tea and fruit snacks
• A beautifully sourced nourishing dinner (all dietary preferances honored and cared for)
• A courageously held and honored space to feel, alchemize, and dream for the new season to come
