About this Event

The Weaving Currents series focusses on artists with links to South Asia. For the 2nd discussion, Mansi Shouche (interdisciplinary artist) will lead an open interview around the evolution and current forms of Tanvi Kant's work. There will be opportunites for audience questions and the discussions that emerge from these.

SInce 2004, Tanvi's work has celebrated simple but repetitive techniques such as whipping, binding, knotting and stitching. She explores processes of cordage and basket making intertwined with her observations and with associations of adornment within sacred rituals.

Join us in delving deeper into the work and world of this celebrated fabric artist.
