For our 4th MuseoMay walk, we go to The Crafts Museum - where every craft tells a story of India’s hands and heritage.

Join us for a curated walk through the very rich exhibits of the Textile Galleries at the Crafts Museum on a Sunday morning. Indian textiles are not merely aesthetic - woven in their warp and weft are stories of communities, of history and culture, of migration and politics. And as you peel each layer, their context and origin tell you so much more than their heritage. 

From the Phulkari in Punjab to the golden threads of Benarasi brocades to the ephemeral Muslin - discover hidden stories in their folds.

Led by a passionate storyteller, a handloom evangelist, and a senior lawyer by profession - Shwetasree will walk you through the stories of craftsmanship and symbolism behind some of the most distinctive textile exhibits on display.
