Join the talented Joan Hoffmeyer in this weaving adventure! In this two-day workshop, you will learn how to create a beautifully textured waffle weave dish/kitchen towel. The workshop will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday hours are 10am to 3:30pm.During the workshop, Joan will guide you through the process of weaving using a rigid heddle loom, pick-up sticks and two skeins of Cascade Yarns’ Nifty Cotton to create your beautiful and functional towel.
This is an intermediate class and experience with warping your loom is required. Joan’s teaching style is clear and encouraging, making it easy to follow along and learn new techniques.
By the end of the workshop, you will have a stunning dish towel to keep or give as thoughtful, hand-crafted gift. Not only will you leave with a beautiful woven creation, but you will also have gained valuable weaving knowledge and skills that you can continue to build upon in your own time.
You need two skeins of cotton yarn, we suggest Cascade Yarn’s Nifty Cotton. You can choose solid or variegated colors. Looms provided if you do not have your own. Don’t forget to ask for your 10% class supply discount in the shop.
