Weapons systems of Silat: The Golok (Machete.
Come and join us for this 2 hour workshop that focusses on the use of the Golok (machete). This is the second in a series of 2 hr workshops that will showcase some of the varied weapons used in Silat.
The 'Golok' is a cutting tool/weapon very similar to a machete. It is common and widespread in it's usage throughout the Indonesia and the surrounding South East Asian regions.
We will be covering a range of topics that include distraction strikes, trapping, locks and disarms. As well as various control techniques against a variety of attacks, both armed and unarmed.
