Join us for a special Melbourne screening of the ski town hit film Weak Layers with an onstage Q&A with writer/director/star Katie Burrell, North American's most loved "leisure athlete" and "queen of slope side fun."Canadian Katie Burrell, stars as Cleo Brown, a ski town local in her 30s living the dream (until she’s not). Evicted from her home and sleeping in a van, she takes on adventure industry’s male dominated elite in a bid to win life changing dollars in a 72 hour ski film competition against the best pros in the world - and finds surprising love and loss along the hilarious way.
With starring roles from Hollywood names Neal Bledsoe, Jadyn Wong and Evan Jonigkeit alongside hilarious cameo appearances from world famous skiers including Cody Townsend, Elyse Saugstad, Jonny Moseley and friends. The female led comedy champions the underdog in a progressive throwback to the cult ski movie classics of Hot Dog..The Movie and Aspen Extreme.
