The Crab Fair is completely volunteer-run, and right now we really need the community’s support more than ever.
After a couple of difficult years with bad weather affecting the event, we need all hands on deck to help keep the fair going — otherwise there’s a real risk we could lose it altogether. We’re only a very small committee trying to keep this tradition alive for Egremont, and we simply can’t do it alone.
We’re holding a volunteer meet-up for anybody willing to help out this year:
📍 Lal Club, Egremont
📅 Wednesday 17th June
🕢 7:30PM
We’re looking for help with:
• Bar staff
• Glass collection
• Gate helpers
• Entrance team
• Stewards & marshals
• Setting up in the week leading up to the fair
• Sunday clean-up after the event
Even if you can only spare a few hours, it all makes a massive difference 🍎
No experience needed — just people willing to help keep this amazing tradition alive for future generations.
