Join We Met in Miami and Miami Sound Choir at Magic 13 Brewing Co. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, for an open mic and live-band karaoke powered by connection and community.

Every Wednesday, this trendy Little Haiti brewery offers Magic Jam Night — where YOU can sing along with a live band!

Also on Wednesdays, Miami Sound Choir rehearses around the corner at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. It’s an adult community choir — no experience necessary and no audition.

Sounds like a good match, huh? 

We’re all teaming up for this epic jam sesh, where you'll get a chance to meet Miami Sound Choir members, sing karaoke, make new friends, and enjoy a local craft brewery. 

Also, you’ll learn about how to join the choir, which kicks off its fall season on Aug. 20.

Singing solo not your thing? Don’t worry! There’s no pressure to perform. Spectators, back-up vocalists and lip syncers are welcome.

At We Met in Miami events, we wear wristbands that show others who we are and what we’re looking for (choose one, two or all three):

Parking is free in the lot next to Magic 13. There’s also PayByPhone street parking nearby.

Here’s what to expect:

7 p.m. Arrival: Check in, get your wristbands and name tags, grab a beer and start mingling.

7:45 p.m. Opening: We’ll start with some introductions and an icebreaker

8 p.m. Magic Jam Night: Sign up to sing with a live band! The tunes continue through midnight.

9 p.m. Singalong: Get a sneak peek at what it’s like to be a choir member during a short singalong with Miami Sound Choir founder and conductor Laurah Merisier.

12 a.m. Event wraps up: Meet someone cool? Drop your Connection Card in the Matchbox and we’ll help you reconnect.
