8-12 JULY 2024, AMSTERDAMWE LIVE HERE is the annual summer academy where we create time and space for experimentation, research, and reflection. Every summer, at the end of the season, we come together to work and think. This initiative is a co-production with BAU, space for independent performing arts residencies and public events.
Join us for a five-day program from
9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with delicious vegan lunches, dinners,
and a visit to Julidans.
Explore the fragile balance of our ecosystem with us.
How do animals, fungi, plants, humans, and technology coexist?
How can we connect with fellow earthlings?
Discover new rituals, unheard stories, and the unseen networks that sustain this delicate balance.
We will start the week with an exclusive excursion to Stal Buitengewoon in Hoevelaken, a holistic center for humans and horses. Guided by psycho-social therapist and animal shaman Petra Nelstijn.
Next, explore new connections and networks with Finnish choreographer Maija Hirvanen in a two-day workshop on fungus cultures and more-than-human choreographies.
The program also includes:

-Singing and chanting together
Workshops, lectures, and meetings with:
-Composer Gary Shepherd on the Frequency of the Earth
-Soundbathing with Klara Alexova
-A work session with Ibelisse Guardia on connecting with nature's cycles
-A conversation with choreographer Jan Martens on shared leadership
