We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes is a 50 minute documentary film that tells the extraordinary story of the 40,000 young women who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped win the Second World War.

Author Bonnie Sitter and filmmaker Colin Field will speak briefly and there will be an opportunity to purchase copies of the book Onion Skins and Peachfuzz: Memories of Ontario Farmerettes.
Location: Lincoln Community Hub (formerly Beamsville District Secondary School)
Following the film please join the Ontario Heritage Trust — hosted by the Town of Lincoln — at 2:15 pm as they unveil a provincial plaque to honour the Farmerettes. The plaque will then be installed nearby following the ceremony in Charles Daley Park.
