We Hike to Heal - Newnan, GA - FREE Women's Group Hike - The LINC

We'll be walking part of the The LINC trail starting at The Newnan Centre (The Nixon Centre of Performing Arts). We will be walking about 4 miles total, 2 miles there and back, of the Linc which is a 12.3 mile trail just 37.1 miles South of Atlanta. This is an EASY walk on a 12 foot wide paved multi-use trail with easy accessibility for those with wheelchair or other disability device needs. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!

Once we reach our mid point, we'll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do some sharing and a little journaling exercise!
Feel free to continue our fellowship by joining us for lunch afterwards at a local resturant, to be determined, in the Newnan area.

Difficulty level/Distance: EASY/4 miles

Restroom Facilities: There are some public restrooms at stores or buildings along the trail, however best to stop and use beforehand, as I cannot guarentee the Nixon Centre will be open for use this day.

What you will need for this hike:

• Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
• Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
• Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
• Comfortable moisture wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
• A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• Your journal and a pen

This event is for women identified folks 18 and older only.
