Join Middle Georgia We Hike to Heal Ambassador, Pam for this FREE Women's Group Hike!We'll be hiking the Yellow trail at Sweetwater Creek State Park which is a 3 mile trail just 20 miles west of DT Atlanta and 100 miles northwest of Macon. This is a moderate to difficult hike with beautiful views all along the way. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! We will go as slow as we need and will take breaks when needed.
Along the way, we'll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a little gratitude journaling!
Time: 10:00am (please be punctual!)
Location/Directions: 1750 Mount Vernon Road Lithia Springs, GA - We will meet in front of the interpretive center.
GPS location coordinates : Q93C+2G Lithia Springs, Georgia
Parking: $5 or annual Georgia State Park Pass
Difficulty level/Distance: Moderate to Difficult/3 miles
Restroom Facilities: There are restrooms at the top of the parking lot and in the interpretive center.
What you will need for this hike:
-Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
-Bug spray or some other type of insect repellent - especially make sure you are protected from ticks one way or another
-Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
-Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
-Comfortable moisture wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
-A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
-A towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
-Your journal and a pen
