Join us May 10, 2025 in sponsoring a first-of-its-kind community-led experience benefitting Family Services Incorporated. This Glow-in-the-Dark fundraiser to shine light on homelessness in Blair County is made possible through collaboration between UPMC Altoona Family Physicians, AmeriCorps, Blair Planning, WalkWorks, and YOU! We Glow Together is seeking community-minded sponsors and donations for this event. Donations will go to local non-profit, Family Services Incorporated, which offers shelter and specialized housing services as well as numerous other community resources to assist victims of abuse, poverty, and homelessness.
For ONE NIGHT ONLY, experience the Altoona Curve Stadium under total blackout* while walkers adorned in neon and glow-in-the-dark light the way toward a brighter future without homelessness. This event features an exciting 1.5 mile glow-walk around the stadium and Lakemont Park’s very own WalkWorks route, as well as vendor tables, games, prizes, and giveaways.
