This Sunday, we will celebrate gratitude because healing is crucial in the work of justice-making. Please share a photo of one thing (person, pet, hobby, etc.) that brings joy to your life. Your photo will be included in a slideshow to be viewed during our centering musical reflection. You can include a sentence or word of gratitude for this gift in your life. Bring a dish to share for a Thanksgiving lunch after the service. Try to sit with someone you don’t know.

After the service on December 1st after you grab a snack, join us in the Alliance room for a circle reflection and conversation for going forward. In his book, What it Takes to Heal, Prentis Hempfill writes, “In family systems theapy, the term “transformational character” describes the person in the family who takes on the work of interrupting and changing generational patterns.” This church’s mission is to transform ourselves and create a more compassionate and just world. Together, we will begin to answer the question,
“What does love do now?”
