We Are Still Asafo - Movement Workshop

Come join us for a Movement workshop with multi-disciplinary artist and We Are Still Asafo choreographer Nandi Bhebhe

This dynamic Afro-fusion workshop will take inspiration from the principles of West and Southern African movement, and contemporary styles, with groove at the heart.

As well as learning some movement material together, the workshop will give participants a chance to explore creative elements from Theatre in Flows' upcoming new production 'We Are Still Asafo"

This workshop is open to anyone interested in exploring expression through movement. The workshop will play with material for various abilities, with an emphasis on allowing all participants to progress at their own pace.

Introducing Nandi Bhebhe

Nandi Bhebhe is a British-born Southern African polymath, mover, maker, actor, musician, with over 15 years of experience working in the creative sector in the UK and internationally. Bhebhe's versatility, team ethic and strong creative relationships has enabled her to work extensively across the UK and internationally with companies and

platforms including Kneehigh Theatre, Shakespeare's Globe, Alesandra Seutin • Vocab Dance Company, Sadlers Wells, and

Broadway. Bhebhe is also co-artistic director of Bhebhe&Davies, an artist duo that centres collaboration in the core of its practice. Their most recent work, Viscera, won Best Dance Film and the Aesthetica Film Festival.
