We Are Here aims to create a space where trans and gender diverse artists can express themselves authentically and showcase their unique perspectives. Through various forms of art such as painting, photography, sculpture, and more, these artists share their stories, struggles, and triumphs with the world. By doing so, they challenge societal norms and stereotypes surrounding gender identity and promote a more inclusive and accepting society.We Are Here invites viewers to open their hearts and minds to the experiences of others, fostering a more compassionate and inclusive society for all.
It is a powerful reminder that we are all here, deserving of respect, recognition, and celebration.
Exhibition runs from Friday 1st November to Saturday 30th November.
Opening night is Friday 1st November 5.30pm-7.30pm with speeches at 6.15pm
We Are Here is proudly presented by the City of Ballarat and it’s LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee in partnership with TBH Studio as part of Trans Awareness Week.
