The Cherry Mountain Community Club announces its first Annual “National Night Out” Block Party in conjunction with the Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue. The event will celebrate “National Fire Prevention Week” October 5-11, 2025, with a social & meal.
The Night Out is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7 beginning at 5:30 p.m. with the meal at 6:30 p.m. at the Cherry Mountain School House-2866 Cherry Mountain Loop, Fredericksburg.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, tea and water will be furnished.
Everyone is invited to attend, and each family may bring a side dish, salad, and/or dessert, plus lawn chairs. Cherry Mountain Community Club President Brian Burrer encourages everyone to come out and enjoy getting to know the neighbors.
As special highlight, the Willow City Volunteer Fire and Rescue Chief Stanley Rabke will discuss its newest fire department location which is located in the Cherry Mountain area. The building has just been completed. Rabke will give information about protecting your family from fire. Participants will be able to meet several Cherry Mountain community residents who are active fire department members. Willow City VFR members will discuss ways that individuals can help the fire department as firefighters or as helpers with traffic control, baking or providing meals during emergencies.
