WCS Workshops

West Coast Swing Workshops with Mikaela. Topics will include Turn technique and Playing with leverage. All levels are welcome but you should have some understanding of West Coast Swing basics.

Spaces are limited! (And roles will be relatively balanced.) So make sure you register now to avoid being disappointed!

$20+HST for one, $30+HST for both (student discount applies)

We will follow provincial regulations regarding mask and vaccination requirements. Which means that at the moment masks are optional and proof of vaccination is not required. HOWEVER - we MUST protect our dance community. That is non-negotiable. To us, this means that the following apply:

1. MASKS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. If you want to wear your mask, please do! If at any point you get asked to put your mask on before dancing with someone, please comply! We are in this together. Bring your mask, have it with you, and respect others who choose to wear theirs. We will have disposable masks available.
2. VACCINATION HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If we had the capacity to make this mandatory, we would. Please be vaccinated, but we will not be checking at the door.
3. SANITIZE YOUR HANDS. Regularly. Between dances if possible. There will be hand sanitizer available.
4. IF YOU GET SICK BEFORE THE EVENT. Anytime before the event, contact us and we will provide a full refund minus Eventbrite's booking fees.
5. IF YOU ARE SICK AT THE EVENT. If you are coughing or sniffling excessively you will be asked to leave immediately, without a refund. We will seriously consider letting you participate in future events if you are blatantly in disregard of any of the policies. This is our community, and we need to keep everyone safe.

Class passes and workshops will not be refunded except under extreme circumstances, but can be transferred to the next class block if necessary (must be requested), or to another person of the same role (leader/follower).

You will be asked to sign a Waiver (like you would to participate in any dance or fitness event) and a Photo & Media Release (photos and videos taken during the even may be used in promotional materials or posted on social media). If you have questions about the Waiver prior to purchasing your event pass, please contact us. If for any reason you decline to be photographed please let us know.

All participants must be 18+ years old.
