Good evening everyone, have a few announcements we would like to share.First off, we are testing a new frequency in Lafayette on 444.725 with a PL of 173.8. This repeater is at a temporary low profile location on the southwest side of Lafayette and we plan on moving it to the West Lafayette tower site sometime next year. The goal of this machine is to help with coverage in the river valley and at the bottom of the hill around downtown and campus where coverage from other repeaters is almost non-existent. The repeater is on the air with a full time link to the hub so let us know how it is doing.
Second, we will be holding our end of year meeting on Saturday January 10th at 5 PM at the Lafayette Police Training Center in Lafayette. We encourage everyone to show up as we have a lot to cover this year. Thank you to Tippecanoe Amateur Radio Association (TARA W9REG) for helping us secure a site for our meeting.
Lastly, yearly dues will start at the beginning of the year. To be considered a supporting member of the organization, we ask for a minimum $25 yearly donation to help cover the costs of keeping this system alive and growing. Every bit is always appreciated. If you want to pay your dues early, please let us know you want to designate your donation for 2026.
