About this Event
The goal of this participatory workshop is to observe and interpret our relationships to our environment as we move through the manmade and natural features of our living landscape. In this collaborative hands-on activity, we’ll use waypoints to navigate a portion of Prospect Park. Exploring each point of interest with intention, we’ll record and draw our observations around the mycological, arboreal, and anthropogenic features, as well as noticing our individual and collective presence amongst them- and culminate in a group session to create a physical interpretation of our observations and engage in a group reflection. Perhaps this will conclude in a new map, a new way of seeing and feeling our parks that we share with each other and more than human life.
What’s Included:
- Navigation Tools
- Art Supplies
- Yarn/Twine
What to Bring:
