Wax Carving and Casting Pt 2 - Production and Mold Making
Join our advanced wax carving jewelry course tailored for artisans seeking to elevate their craftsmanship to a professional level. Delve into the intricate art of wax carving, focusing on the creation of a singular, distinctive piece designed for molding. Explore techniques and nuances in carving and refining wax to craft a master prototype, destined for replication. The highlight of this immersive journey is the exchange among peers – each participant will mold their masterpiece, generating multiple copies for sharing within the class. By the course's end, you'll not only possess a refined skill set but also a collection of unique jewelry pieces, a testament to collaborative creativity and skillful artisanship.
Completed wax models will be submitted for casting* and you will practice the process of cleaning and finishing your piece(s) during the final classes.
*Students will have a $75 casting and mold making credit included with the course. All casting beyond will require an additional fee.
