Creative curiosity with a dash of discovery!
Immerse yourself in tactile exploration of the textures, colours and shapes beneath the waves with REConnect.
Delivered by Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership you will be guided in the playful process of gelli-printing to create imaginative ocean inspired prints that reflect your thoughts, feelings and experiences of the ocean.
We will be using natural items foraged from the shoreline - prepared in advance - and those that have the potential to create wonderful watery textures.
Activities will be fully supported, so whether you already have experience or are a beginner wanting to explore a new interest, this is a great opportunity to try something different.
All equipment and resources are provided - but this can get be messy. We will be using acrylic paints, that could permanently stain clothes. Whilst we will take care creating our art, please wear something you don't mind getting a bit of paint on!
The activity will be held in the Sealife Scarborough Education Room. All children must be supervised by a parent/guardian throughout.
Entry into the aquarium is NOT INCLUDED and will need to be paid for seperately if you wish to explore the attraction before the workshop.
