We helped Earl Short share the history of the Des Moines Streetcar system - that his father worked on as a conductor and he researched the heck out of. So much so that his mission was to create a monument at an original streetcar turnaround at the entrance of Waveland golf course. The Des Moines Historical Society worked hard to help raise the money to make this happen and we want to celebrate the efforts by Earl and all of those involved along the way - though an annual Ice Cream Social. So come and check out this awesome monument and enjoy some history buffs while you gobble down ice cream.
