Deshawn “Dvibes” Alexander is a Grammy-nominated artist and musician from Denver, Colorado. His musical journey began at a young age in his grandparents’ church, where his passion for music was first cultivated. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, Dvibes has recorded and performed with a diverse array of artists, including Eric Krasno, Talib Kweli, Joe Louis Walker, Walter Beasley, Steve Miller, Viva La Hop, Maurice Brown, J. Ivy, and many more. Currently on tour as the keyboardist for Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Dvibes contributed to their 2023 Grammy-nominated album for Best Contemporary Blues. His accolades also include winning two Blues Music Awards. In addition to his collaborative work, Dvibes leads the funk collective, Watermelon Funk. This show offers a special glimpse into The Dvibes Experiment—an exploration of original music that reflects Dvibes’ personal and artistic evolution, fusing his vast influences into a genre-bending performance.
