WaterMarks Walk + Art in Melvina Park

Join ArtWorks for Milwaukee's environmental arts interns at Melvina Park for a youth-led WaterMarks Walk and community art-making day!

Participants will explore and learn about the park through storytelling, reflection, and hands-on activities. After the walk, everyone is invited to contribute to a collaborative mural inspired by the “C” watermarker, and learn how the letter "C" was choosen. You can also take part in a colorful chalk party at the base of the watermarker and connect with local organizations.

This free, family-friendly event celebrates water, nature, science, and community through art.

Info: Join us for an interactive stroll through Melvina Park! Participants will receive two handmade zines to spark learning, exploration, and story-sharing. (Fair warning: cheesy nature jokes may be encountered!)

Info: After the walk, join us for collaborative mural painting inspired by the “C” WaterMarker. Help bring words and colors to life on a community mural, add your mark in a chalk coloring party, and connect with local organizations. All painting supplies will be provided.
