This walk explores these connections in addition to Wells' personal connections and relationships to well known Lambeth residents of his era such as Charlie Chaplin, Elsa Lanchester, Ida Lupino, Edith Nesbit, Claude Rains, and King's College physician Dr. RD Lawrence, while weaving in other aspects of his life, works, and lasting legacy.
Lambeth Guide, David Turnbull, is a published author of fantastical fiction. His latest novella 'The Strange Case of Private Ornshaw and the Martian Detective', set in a Victorian London devastated by the martian invasion, depicted in War of the Wolds, appears in The Black Beacon book of Steampunk Sleuths.
