About this Event
The Flow Waterjet is an excellent tool for cutting applications. Mostly used to cut metals such as steel, aluminum or bronze, this machine can also handle numerous materials including stone, tile, glass, rubber and plastics just to name a few.
In this course students learn everything from how waterjet equipment works to cutting a part themselves!
• Location: Maketory
• Mandatory Safety Equipment: Closed-toe shoes, eye protection, short sleeves. Hair must be worn back, jewelry removed, and no gloves worn.
About the instructor: Chris Nevill
After growing up in New Zealand, Chris traveled for many years before moving to San Francisco in 2000 and more recently to San Diego.
Specializing in CAD and CNC machining. Chris has worked as a sign-maker, architectural model maker and creating artwork for hotels and commercial spaces. Chris is passionate about engineering and has built an experimental tilt-wing aircraft and renovated several vintage airstream travel trailers.
Currently, shop manager at Maketory, Chris teaches classes including CAD, Laser Cutting, CNC Mill, CNC Router and of course, Waterjet!
