Join us for this beautiful artist led workshop and learn how to paint whimsical and colourful wildflowers in a loose watercolour style.In the first two hours of the workshop the participants will learn the basic watercolour concepts and techniques including colour theory (to mix beautiful colours to create balanced and harmonious compositions.) They will learn to paint 10-11 common wildflowers including foliage which can then be used as the basis for creating beautiful wildflower compositions in the form of a wreath/ bouquet/meadow, cards, gift tags, bookmarks etc.
In the last 1 hour, the participants will be gently guided and encouraged to paint their own compositions. I will be helping them to decide a colour palette, mix colours and paint their compositions.
The participants will be provided with a printed guide which they can refer to later, which will cover all the class details alongside pictures and step by step instructions.
This is an adult open age class but is suitable for age 12 plus and no previous experience is necessary however children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
All materials and light refreshments will be provided.
