Learn the loose, expressive approach to laying down a scene with pen and wash. Colours blend outside the lines to convey movement, fluidity and expression.
**MATERIALS LIST**
Materials: tube paints: Red, yellow, blue as a minimum
Waterproof, fine tip black felt pen
Cadmium yellow, alizarin, cad red, cerulean, cobalt, French ultramarine, yellow ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber.
One size 12, or size 14 round squirrel mix synthetic natural fibre soft brush suitable for watercolours.
Neef is a good brand, or something similar.
One flat soft 1 - 2 inch squirrel mix synthetic & natural fibre brush - a Hake brush is also suitable.
Paper - watercolour pad size A3, or a loose full sheet 56 x 76 cm, cut into quarters
Brands to choose from - Arches, Bockingford, Canson etc
Mixed media paper pad, size A4.
Palette, tape, backing board, pencil.
