During this workshop guided by popular local tutor Nicky Hunter, you will create an expressive painting bursting with light and radiant colour capturing a vibrant and beautiful swan painted at large scale for dramatic effect.Students will use wet into wet and wet into dry techniques and the direct painting method limiting the amount of the layers in watercolour to keep paintings expressive and fresh looking with colours that glow from the page.
Explore a variety of lively brush marks and learn how to create soft edges. Gain a better understanding of colour mixing and of using a limited palette to avoid dull muddied colours.
